New Delhi, Feb 7: Congress MPs disrupted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday on the Motion of Thanks on the President's address.
As soon as the Prime Minister commenced his speech, Indian National Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) members, shouting slogans, trooped into the Well.
Members of the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party were involved in an altercation with Telegu Desam Party lawmakers who were seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan named Jyotiraditya Scindia of the Congress and CPI(M)'s A Sampath and asked them to resume their seats.
Congress leader in the House Mallikarjun Kharge was heard saying that when he spoke, he was interrupted, but now, effort was being made to bring the order in the House.
Speaker Mahajan asked Mr Kharge to control his party members.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar also tried to calm the heated tempers.
As soon as the House met for the day, TDP and YSR Congress MPs entered the Well, and showed placards for the second consecutive day.
Admonishing them, the Speaker said showing placards in the House was not good behaviour.
TDP and YSRCP members went back to their seats but Congress lawmakers kept shouting slogans throughout Mr Modi's speech. UNI
