Ganderbal, Mar 22 :  People of Ganderbal on Sunday observed Janata Curfew in district in letter and spirit by remaining confined to their home.

The markets and roads were seen deserted since early morning. There was no movement on roads of the district since morning.

The main aim of Janta Curfew was to aware people regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease—and curbs the spread of infection across the country.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration had appealed public to observe Janta Curfew on Sunday by remaining in their homes from 5: am to 9: pm except for medical emergencies.

Pertinently, District administration Ganderbal has taken slew of measures to contain the spread of the deadly infection in the district including imposing Section 144 under CrPc and restriction on public transport in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal hailed public at large for adhering to health advisory.
