Poonch, July 05  :   District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav held a press conference to make the general public aware regarding different Government Schemes via electronic and print media here in his office chamber.

DDC Poonch while talking to the media persons briefed about PM Kissan, PMAY and Social welfare Pension Scheme. DDC said that under PM Kissan Scheme farmers will receive an amount of Rs 6000 per year in three installments. He said that around 36000 farmers have already received the first installment and the farmers who have been left or not received their first installment due to various reasons including lack of 16 digit Account number, Adhaar card or any other formalities can update their information before 31 July to avail the benefits. He further said that all farmers who are not Government employee, tax payer or receiving pension above Rs 1000 can enroll themselves in PM Kissan.

Informing the media regarding PMAY, DDC Poonch said that this year the target to complete PMAY houses is 20000 which will be completed in a mission mode. He urged the beneficiary people to complete their file and Geo tagging through concerned GRS at the earliest.

Further DDC Poonch briefed the media persons present about pension scheme under Social welfare department. He said the people who have filled their forms with incomplete information such as Adhaar number or other formalities shall provide their adhaar number and new applicants for oldage pension, widow pension or Disability pesion shall immediately fill their form with required documents in District Social welfare Office so that the data could be sent to higher authorities.
