Jammu 01 Jan 2019 : Continuing with the momentum of the development of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Former Deputy Chief Minister & Senior Leader BJP, Kavinder Gupta along with Vikram Randhawa MLC today started work of deep drain at Trikuta Nagar and Friends colony worth 9 crores, being executed by UEED.
Baldev Billowria, Neeraj Puri councillor, Ankush Gupta, Bharat Sharma among other BJP & BJYM workers was present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that momentum of the developmental which have been approved earlier shall be continued. He said the works on the deep drains in other areas are also under construction and hopefully this rainy season the people shall be relieved from the water logging problems. There will be no compromise with quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution of different works so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. The life of the works under taken is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily, he added. He has promised to make this constituency a model one and providing basic amenities to the public is the step towards the achievement of the model constituency.
Neeraj Puri along with other residents of the area thanked Gupta for fulfilling the promise and also apprised him about some other problems to which Gupta assured that all the genuine demand shall me met out very soon. He further said that the Open Gyms shall be installed in the remaining Parks where the open Gyms have not yet been started.
Later he dedicated the borewell constructed by PHE Mechanical department South at the cost of 8.5 Lacs in Guru Ravi Dass Mohalla. This was long pending demand of the residents of the area and the water from the borewell shall be supplied to Ravi Dass Mohalla and its adjoining areas. He was accompanied by Ankush Gupta, Kulbir Charak, Dalbir Singh, Amit Sharma and other prominent persons of the area.
On the Occasion Gupta said that for the equitable development of the constituency, he has taken various steps related to the upgradatuion of power supply, un-interrupted power supply, Up-gradation of Roads, Upgdaration of Lanes & Drains, besides other developmental works. He said Modi G is very much focussed for the upliftment of various sections of society and in this regard various schemes have been launched. He urged the party workers to reach out to needy persons, so that they can get benefit from the welfare schemes.
He was apprised by the public there about the lack other basic facilities. Gupta took note of all the genuine demands and directed PWD authorities to start the work of Blacktopping of the roads in the adjoining areas at the earliest. He further said it is his duty to fight and work for the public of his constituency and his doors are always open for the public.
