PULWAMA, OCTOBER 3:
District Employment and Counseling Centre, Pulwama, today organized a seminar
regarding the counseling for civil services at Government Women’s Degree
College Pulwama
District
Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar was the chief guest on
the occasion who urged upon students to take civil services as a career.
Speaking
on the occasion, DDC reiterated that the entry of young people in the
civil services is changing the face and notion of public services in the state.
DDC also made an announcement for free coaching programme which is being
started in the district within few days. This free coaching programme would be
the 3rd phase of the series of free coaching programme in the
district from last three years. DDC allotted 5 lakh rupees for the
development of Botanical garden in the college.
District
Information Officer, Tahir Ahmad deliberated on the changes in the pattern of
KAS exams. He also stressed open role of ‘focus’ and ‘resolve’ in cracking
competitive exam.
Assistant
Director Employment, Abdul Raqeeb Bhat delivered a motivational lecture on the
orientation towards civil services. He also added that District
Employment and counseling center is on mission mode as far as career counseling
is concerned
Principal
Government Women’s Degree College, Staff members of college and large no. of
students participated in the programme.
Later on, a college magazine ‘FAJR’ was also released by DDC.
