SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 03:
Additional Commissioner Kashmir (ACK) Dr Abdul Salaam Mir today chaired a
meeting of officers to review the stock and supply position of essential
commodities and other supplies to Leh, Kargil districts and far-flung areas of
Kupwara and Bandipora Districts.
Deputy
Commissioners of Leh and Kargil appraised the divisional administration through
video conference about the supplies in their regions.
During
the meeting, officers informed the chair that 100% quota of Ration was already
stored in the twin districts. Regarding Animal Husbandry products,
80% items were dumped and the remaining supply will be stored in ten days of
time. For mutton purposes, 90,000 sheep are lying at Sheep Husbandry farms at
Leh region and for Kargil, the supply will be dumped in a week time. Total 412
quintals of Agriculture seed has been supplied to Leh and 276 quintals to
Kargil district and remaining target will be supplied shortly. For supply of
Cements, 80 trucks in Leh and 32 trucks in Kargil are already lying at Godowns.
Total 70% electrical material is stored by PDD and remaining supply will reach
in twin districts shortly.
Deputy
Director Health Services, Kashmir informed the meeting that the sufficient
stock of life saving drugs has already been stocked to Leh and Kargil districts.
Deputy
Commissioners of Kupwara and Bandipora informed the chair that 80% stocking of
all essential items were already stored in far-flung areas such as Machil,
Keran, Tanghdar, Gurez in their respective districts and remaining target will
be dumped in ten days of time.
Additional
Commissioner Kashmir (ACK) directed all other concerned officers to store their
remaining target of their respective commodities to the Ladakh region and far
flung areas of Kupwara and Bandipora before the end of this month so that
people will not have to face any difficulty for want of amenities and send
weekly report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office for further course of
necessary action.
Director FCS&CA, Director Animal Husbandry, General Manager SRTC,
Director Sheep Husbandry, Joint Director Agriculture, Director Horticulture,
Deputy Director Health, Representatives of JK Cements & Oil Companies and
other concerned officers were present in this meeting where as Deputy
Commissioners of Leh, Kargil, Kupwara and Bandipora participated the meeting
through video conferencing.
