06: District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria today
convened a meeting of District Officers to finalize the convergence plan under
MGNREGA for the year 2018-19.
During the meeting,
the DDC directed all the line departments to converge their plan with MGNREGA
so that more labor oriented works can be executed for which corresponding
material component would be utilized for pending material liabilities of
district.
The DDC asked the
DFO Forestry to take up the fencing of encroached state land which has been
recovered recently. He further directed the concerned officers to initiate the
work for development of playfields, water conservation works, farm ponds and
viable works during the current year.
It was further
decided to construct 2055 PMAY-G houses, 34 Panchayat Ghars, 52 sanitary
complexes, 50 play fields, 20 Anganwari Centres, 16 harvesting tanks besides
planting 40,000 saplings under convergence mode in addition to other activities
under Fisheries and Social Forestry.
Earlier, ACD Kathua
informed the chair that funds under MGNREGA may be utilized under convergence
plan mode with similar contributions from line departments in respect of
permissible activities.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kathua, Shubra Sharma, ACD, Sukhpal Singh,
CPO, Raghubir Singh, DPO, CAO, Project Officer IWMP, DFOs and other district
officers.
