Jammu, Sept 24: MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal
Kishore Sharma along with BJP State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh
conducted extensive tour of the Poonch region in which they held successive
meetings and accompanied party candidates for the Urban Local Bodies (ULB)
elections.
Nominations
of the candidates for the ULB elections were filed with the great pomp and show
while reaching the venue for filing nominations in form of huge rallies
attended by hundreds of supporters.
Meanwhile a
meeting in the Surankote, was also held in the regard to issue the strategy for
winning the ULB polls with good margins.
Jugal Kishore
Sharma, while addressing on the occasion, said that BJP has kept its promise
and once again proven that it really works to empower the common masses by
holding of these elections at the ground level. He said that although some
political parties of the region tried to sabotage the process by giving poll boycott
call, but the enthusiasm shown by the general public proves that it stands
firmly for the development and the peace in the region. He assured the masses
that all the candidates of the party will work for the better development of
the region after forming Councils, Committees and Corporations.
Dr. Narinder Singh,
in his address, focussed on the utmost need of the ULB and Panchayat elections
in the state. He said that once voted to power, the BJP candidates will give
pace to the development works in the area. He also said that these elections
directly influence the local development and thus appealed the people to vote
heavily in the favour of party candidates.
