AUGUST 07: District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz
Bhat today reviewed performance under district Capex budget 2018-19 and
progress on major projects here at a meeting of line departments.
The
meeting was attended by ADDC Ravinder Sadhu, ADC Gurvinder Jeet Singh,CPOUttam
Singh, Collector Sawalakote, Zameer Ahmed, XENs of PDD, PWD,
PMGSY and PHE, CMO, CEO, CHO, CAO, DFOs and other district and sectoral
officers.
The
DDC reviewed in detail physical and financial achievements of Education,
RDD, PWD, PHE, PDD, Health, Forest, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry,
Fisheries departments etc under District plan.
Expressing
displeasure over low expenditure, he set deadlines for all departments to
complete ongoing projects and achieve 100 % targets under district plan, state
plan and centrally sponsored schemes.
The
DDC stressed on convergences of resources of different departments to meet the
aspirations of the public. He laid special stress on the completion
of schools and road projects take up under various schemes.
He
asked the departments to ensure judicious and effective utilization of funds
and work in coordination to remove bottlenecks hindering developmental works.
Reviewing
the RDD sector, he said that schemes like MGNREGA are meant to create viable
and durable assets to cater local people and provide livelihood to the
economically weaker sections of the society.
Later,
the DDC took detailed review of the status and progress on major
development projects including Degree college buildings of Banihal and Gool, 50
bedded Hospital Banihal, PHC Ukhral, water filtration plant Ramban, Polytechnic
College Ramban, Girls Hostel, District Administrative complex, DIET
building Banihal, Indoor Stadium Gool, Gujjar and Bakarwal
Hostel, Munsif court complex Ukharl . He directed the executing
agencies to expedite the progress on these vital projects to ensure their
timely completion.
The DDC the officers to put vigorous efforts to
achieve assigned targets and complete the works well in time to benefit the
public. He also reviewed the AEBAS registration of employees of the line
departments.
