Holding Apex Court observation noting 38,947 women were raped in 2016:“women are raped left, right &centre” Bijral made an emotional appeal to nation’s conscious to face national shame when a woman is raped every six hour. He wondered how wouldSC react knowing data of victims protecting self and family honour opt not to report and suffer trauma in silence.

Bijral, State Convener Beti Bachao Beti Padhao applauded Criminal law Amendment Bill 2018  passed by Parliament on Aug 7, 2018 to deal with alarming rape crime increase providing harsher punishment for under 12 and 16 years girls and institution of Fast Track Special Courts ( FTSC ). He but said India needs to shedits ‘soft state image’ with too many laws but wanting enforcement. Till nation’s conscience is not awakened and those investigating and trying rape cases see victim as their own daughter, the amendment would fail in its objective. He said the fastest growing economy under dynamic leadership of PM Modi would have its head hang in shame till it wakes up against this horrific crime.

Urging nation to accept Turkish President Erdogan words “Smile on country woman face shows how prosperous the country is”, Bijral said if bad loans of listed 38 banks for Q4 FY 2018 is Rs 10.17 lakh crores, nation shouldgo ahead and not dilly dally investment of Rs 767.25 crore and raise 1023 FTSC for honour and respect of nation’s future mothers.
