Chandigarh, Jul 17: Rains lashed many parts of Punjab and Haryana today, leading to a dip in the mercury by a few notches.
Chandigarh received heavy downpour and the mercury dropped by a few notches, a Meteorological Department official said here.
In Haryana, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal and Narnaul were among places that received rains.
Mohali, Ropar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Jalandhar in Punjab were also lashed by rains.
After the rains, the maximum temperature dropped at several places. (PTI)
