PULWAMA, JULY 31: District
Information Centre Pulwama in collaboration with J&K Human Service
Foundation today organised one day Seminar on Drug de-Addiction at Circuit
House Pulwama.
The main aim of the
Seminar was to inculcate awareness among the students and people about the drug
addiction with the sole objective to eradicate the drug menace from district Pulwama.
Students from
different schools participated in the Seminar and briefly threw light on
the methods of de-addiction causes and effects.
District
Development Commissioner Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar was the chief guest on the
occasion.
Speaking on the
occasion, DDC Pulwama said that the Drugs and other narcotics’ cultivation and
related activities are dangerous for the entire society, particularly younger
generation. He stressed on creating more awareness so that the drug menace is
eradicated completely from the society and a message be conveyed to people that
drug use is not only banned by the law, but negated by society and
religion too.

Human Service Foundation, Civil Society member Ab. Rahim Khan, Chief Medical
Officer Pulwama. Dr. Mohammad Jaffer, Dr Manzoor Ahmad and other speakers
highlighted other negative aspects of the drug use and how to prevent it.
