REASI, JUNE 28: A mega Screening Health Camp was held today under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) here at far flung Jij area of Block Pouni.
The camp was inaugurated by BMO Pouni Dr. R P Singh in presence of Nodal Officer RBSK Reasi Dr. Amit Bajaj and other staff etc.
The screening was conducted by 4 MHTs (Mobile Health Teams) of RBSK, and specialist Consultation was provided by        Physician Specialist, Gynecologist, Pediatrician and Dental Surgeon.
Around 721 Children of various schools & Anganwadi Centers were screened by RBSK Mobile Health Teams. Specialists’ consultation was provided to 196 children, of whom 76 were found with Anaemia, 12 Vision Impairment.
Five were diagnosed for COPD, one for Basal Cell Carcinoma, 22 for PEM, 43 for URTI, Spectacles were provided to 15 previously screened children. Age certificates were provided to 9 children on the spot.
 In addition to this, Counselling Services, Health Education, Information regarding various Health programmes of National Health Mission was also provided to the participants. They were also made aware about PC&PNDT Act and Save the Girl Child campaign. They were also taught about hand washing technique.
