JAMMU, JUNE 13: A delegation of
the Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League (JKESL) led by President of the
organization Maj Gen Govardhan Singh Jamwal, called on the Divisional
Commissioner Hemant Kumar Sharma, here today.
The delegation
apprised the Div Com about the bottlenecks faced by them in completing the
project of Welfare Housing Organization (WHO) to raise two housing colonies at
village Patti and Barn for war widows, widows and personnel/veterans of the
three services. The delegation pointed out that the government approved project
that started in the year 1998 is yet to complete.
Divisional
Commissioner directed the revenue department to provide requisite support
to JKESL for early completion of the project commissioned for the interest of
war widows, widows and defence personnel/veterans.
Assuring
all out assistance to JKESL, Divisional Commissioner directed the ACRs of
districts Jammu and Samba to give top priority to the project.
He gave a patient
hearing to the other issues of veterans and assured them that appropriate
action will be taken soon in this regard.
The delegation
comprised of Col Kulbeer Jamwal, Col Dr Virendra K Sahi, Col SA Qureshi, Col
Chaman Bhangotra and others.
