students from 30 institutions participate in Seerat Conference
SRINAGAR,
JUNE 07: Deputy Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative
Assembly Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today praised the services of Private Education
sector in dissemination of quality education in the state.
He
was speaking at a Seerat conference organized by a private educational
institute in which famous Naats and Salaams were recited by students.
Gurezi
said, “through these competitions, the students get a chance to showcase their
talent and such activities boost their confidence in a major way.”
AS
a mark of tribute for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Gurezi said, a Muslim should
follow the Islamic teachings in letter and spirit.
Around
60 students from 30 government and private institutions of the valley
participated in the Seerat Conference which was adjudged by professional Naat
Khwans Ghulam Hassan Gamgeen and Shabir Ahmad Shabir.
Later,
Gurezi felicitated and distributed prizes and mementoes among those students
who achieved positions in naat and qirat competition.
Among others, Dean Students Kashmir University, Prof.
G.N Khaki, Coordinator Student Welfare Kashmir University, Zahid Jeelani Wani,
cricketer, Sami- Ullah, teachers, students and parents were present on the
occasion.
