JAMMU,
JUNE 13: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Hemant Kumar
Sharma reviewed the status of various ongoing development works in Jammu, Doda,
Kishtwar and Ramban, here today.
Secretary
RDD, Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhawani Rakwal besides senior
functionaries of district administrations and concerned departments attended
the meeting through video conference.
During
the meeting, the Div Com took stock of the implementation of Chief Minister’s
directions pertaining to development works in these districts.
The
Div Com was informed about the works completed till date and further progress
made on the ongoing works.
Stressing
on maintaining close coordination between the departments and the district
administration, the Div Com directed the concerned functionaries to ensure
regular monitoring of the ongoing works besides adhering to quality norms.
While
having a detailed review of the physical and financial progress registered on
these works, the Div Com emphasized on maintaining financial discipline by
optimal utilization of funds.
The
Divisional Commissioner exhorted upon the executing agencies to speed up the
pace of progress for providing early benefits to the people.
He
also directed the concerned functionaries to re-examine a few DPRs
and submit the report in his office within 2 days.
Earlier,
a delegation of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) met the Divisional
Commissioner and put forth their issues pertaining to availability of land,
permission from Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Forest and other departments
for installation of telecom towers and seizing of mobile towers by
JMC. The delegation also sought support of the district administrations to
facilitate setting up of network in border towns like Poonch city, Gurez,
Tangdhar and other such areas.
The
Div Com asked them to follow the set norms and guidelines and instructed the
concerned authorities to take action as per law.
Additional
Commissioner, Rehana Batool, Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Sudhir Kumar Shah ,
Secretary JMC Sunaina Sharma, besides senior functionaries of the concerned
departments were present in the meeting.
