New Delhi, Jun 29: Delhiites today woke up to a cloudy morning with the mercury settling at 27.9 degrees Celsius.
Monsoon arrived in the national capital yesterday and the weatherman has predicted more rains later in the day.
Palam observatory recorded a maximum rainfall of 6.6 mm while 1.3 mm rainfall has been recorded at Safdarjung observatory in the last 24 hours.
According to the MeT department, the humidity level recorded at 8.30 am was 74 per cent.
"The skies will remain cloudy and there is possibility of thundershowers in various areas of the city later in the day," an official of the department.
The official also said that the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 36 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature recorded was 24.2 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature settled at 35.2 degree Celsius. (PTI)
