3-day Sudhmahadev mela commences

SUDHMAHADEV, JUNE 27: -The historic Sudhmahadev mela in tehsil Chenani commenced today with religious zeal and gaiety. Thousands of devotees from within and outside the state visited the holy Sudhmahadev temple to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva on the first day of the mela.

Tehsildar Chenani, Pardeep Singh was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the mela.

The District Administration had made elaborate arrangements including uninterrupted power supply, provision of safe drinking water, sanitation, medical facilities, and security arrangements for the smooth celebration of the event.

Different government departments have setup their stalls to educate the common masses about the various state and centrally sponsored schemes aimed at the socio-economic uplift of the people.

On the occasion, the cultural troops drawn from various educational institutions and local folk artists presented folk dance and music items which was highly appreciated by the audience.
