Tripura, May 09: After long 9-year Police nabbed a terrorist here in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai and produced him before the Sessions Court in the bordering subdivision of Kailasahar in Unakoti district as his cases left pending there.
According to the information, acting on a tip off, Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Kamalpur Sankar Das led a special raid at Nepaltila under Manughat police station in neighbouring Unakoti district the day before.
There police nabbed the terrorist Dilip Debbarma who was originally hailed from Saikarbari area under Kamalpur police station. The raid was conducted at around 5 pm. Then he was taken to the Sessions Court at Kailasahar where both of his two cases left pending. It might be mentioned here that two separate cases were lodged against Dilip Debbarma one at Kamalpur police station and another at Manughat police station.
At Kamalpur police station 51/99 case was registered under section 364, 34 of IPC. And 64/2000 number case was lodged with Manughat police station under sections 307 of IPC and 27 of Arms Act.
Dilip was a wanted terrorist for 19 years who acted for banned terrorist outfit National Liberation Front of Twipra(NLFT) Biswamohan faction.
Dilip was being able to fool police for a long time but could not escape at last. And this success has been considered as a great one for police. UNI
