Dubai, May
3: Three members of a Pakistani family were rescued by the Ras Al Khaimah
Police after their car got stuck while slipping off a mountainous slope here in
the northern emirate.
"All family members--the father, mother and son,
have been rescued and their car pulled out successfully," Khaleej Times
reported.
"Their car was stuck in a tough area where it was
so difficult to reach or tow back," said Brigadier
Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director-general of the
central operations department, RAK Police.
On being alerted of the mishap, the central operations
room of the RAK Police immediately dispatched a traffic patrol, an ambulance,
paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
"All family members have been rescued and their
car pulled out successfully."
Al Humaidi said all mountain trekkers need to be extra
cautious, particularly in distant and rocky tough areas. UNI
