Kolkata, May 4: A
teenage girl, who went missing since Wednesday evening, was today found
unconscious near the housing complex of south Kolkata's Golf Green area with
torn cloths and injury marks on her body, police suspecting it a case of
alleged mass raped.
The class IX girl, who did not return to her Jadavpur residence from school last evening, was found nearly half dead by a newspaper vendor around 0700 hours, along with her school bag under her head on the road. Local people immediately took her to MR Bangur Hospital where the medics began a medical test, besides treatment on her injuries, to determine if she was raped.
Panic struck in the areas with the finding of the teenage girl, whose cloths were torn from all sides.
Police believed that the girl was abandoned in the midnight last night.
