DM Kupwara bans unauthorized parking of FCI trucks at Bumhama

 KUPWARA MAY 03:  District Magistrate Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today ordered a ban on unauthorized parking of trucks outside the godown of FCI at Bumhama.

          “It was observed that unauthorized and haphazard parking of trucks on the National Highway outside the FCI godown causes an interruption in the smooth flow of traffic and leads to traffic jamming.

“This not only causes inconvenience to commuters and motorists, but there are apprehensions of mishaps due to disorderly and haphazard parking of trucks at the said location,” the DM said.

          In order to obviate threat to human life and ensure smooth flow of traffic on Sopore-Kupwara-Tangdar National Highway, henceforth no vehicle including trucks shall be parked unauthorizedly in front of FCI Godown, Bumhama, the order said.

          Any violation of the order shall be dealt with under the provisions of law, the DM added.
