DDC Kulgam reviews Ramadan arrangements

 KULGAM, MAY 12:  District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam today convened a meeting to take stock of arrangements put in place for the forthcoming holy month of Ramadan. 

During the meeting, officers from different departments briefed the DDC about the arrangement and position of stocks of essential items available in the district.

The DC directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements for providing better amenities to people. He also directed them to intensify market checking to keep check on hoarding and overcharging of daily use items. He directed Kulgam Municipal Committee to ensure cleanliness in town particularly around religious places and markets.

The DC directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply especially during Sehri and Iftar. Directions were also passed on Traffic department to ensure hassle free traffic in the town and other areas of district.

The meeting was attended by ACR, tehsildars and officers from police, PDD, PHE, Municipality and Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department. Besides them members of Auqaf committee, transporters and trade members also participated in the meeting.
