BANDIPORA, MAY 12:
District Development Commissioner (DDC), Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai today
said that two Model Cluster Villages (MCV), with all basic amenities, are being
developed in the district at a cost of Rs 10 crore each.
Of these
two MCVs, one is being developed in border subdivision Gurez, it was revealed.
The DDC was speaking at a meeting convened to review the Action Plan of Tribal
Sub Plan.
Assistant
Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning Officer,
various Sectoral and district officers were present in the meeting.
The DDC
asked officers to work in coordination with each other and ensure that these
two MCVs become model for all practical purposes with the availability of all
basic facilities like communication, connectivity, water, power, education and
health services.
The DDC also asked them to take concrete steps for setting up of a
multiple purpose training centre in each MCV, where rural youth will get skill
development Training in trades like Handloom, Handicrafts, small industries and
food processing.
