Belagavi, Apr 13: BJP
national president Amit Shah today said fearing over BJP gaining grounds and
his election from his home segment Chamundeshwari becoming difficult, chief
minister Siddaramaiah was now scouting to contest from two segments.
Speaking to media persons after garlanding the
statue of warrior queen Rani Chennamma at Kittur in this district, he said BJP
was gaining ground in Karnataka ahead of May 12 Assembly elections as Congress
was facing a strong anti-incumbency factor due to its misrule and corruption
and people were inclined to bring back BJP to ensure clean administration.
‘’At present anti-Congress was becoming stronger in the state and this will lead to BJP wresting power from by gaining a thumping majority under the leadership of B S Yeddyurappa. We will definitely come back to power and provide a good and transparent administration,’’ he said.
He was he was visiting Kittur for the first time and the country was proud of Rani Chennamma who was first among the warriors who fought against the British before the 1857 uprising.
Parliament members Prahlad Joshi, Suresh Angadi and Prabhakar Kore accompanied Mr Shah during the Kittur visit. UNI
