IAF helicopter crashes near Kedarnath, no casualty

New Delhi/Kedarnath, Apr 3: An Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper Mi-17 V crashed near Kedarnath in Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning.

'Today morning, around 0810 hrs, one Mi-17 V5 helicopter of IAF crashed near Kedarnath. All persons on-board are safe,' IAF spokesperson said.
The Russian-origin transport helicopter caught fire after colliding with an iron girder while attempting to land at the helipad.
A Court of Inquiry has been formed to ascertain the cause of the accident. UNI
