Yousuf Bhat chairs Privileges Committee meeting

            JAMMU, MARCH 02: MLA, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, today convened a meeting of the Committee on Privileges of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to discuss a specific complaint lodged by MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar for not extending him due protocol at Srinagar Airport, here today.

          Legislators, Usman Abdul Majeed, Dina Nath Bhagat, Bashir Ahmed Dar and Ravinder Raina attended the meeting. MLA, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar also attended the meeting as a complainant.

       ADGP, Security J&K, Munir Ahmad Khan and SSP, Anti Hijacking, Jammu Rajinder Kumar briefed the Committee about the complaint given by the MLA and assured the Committee that they are extending due courtesy and protocol to the legislators.

            After satisfactory reply given by the concerned authorities, the Panel withdrew the complaint and decided to dispose of the specific complaint given by MLA, Ganderbal.

            Principal Secretary, Home Department, R K Goel, Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M R Singh besides other concerned officers of Security Police and Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
