Patna, Mar 22: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the Bihar Diwas celebrations at
Gandhi Maidan here at 4.30 p.m. today.
‘Champaran Satyagraha: Centenary Year’ is the theme this year
as it will also mark the closing ceremony of Champaran Satyagraha centenary
celebrations.
Various cultural activities have been planned at S K Memorial Hall in the state capital for the three-day event.
More than 50 stalls have been set up by various government departments at Gandhi Maidan. The celebrations mark the day when the British carved out Bihar from the Bengal Presidency on March 22, 1912.
