JAMMU MARCH 27: A two day workshop on ‘Radio and Broadcasting skills’ was organized by P.G Department of Home Science, Govt. College for Women Parade, here today.
Station Director Prasar Bharti, Radio Kashmir Jammu Anjali Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while Principal of the college Dr. Hemla Aggarwal was the guest of honor.
During the workshop, the students were trained in Script writing, Feature writing, Short Stories, Documentaries, Interview Skills, Voice Dispatch and Entertainment Programmes.
Head P.G. deptt of Home Science Dr. Aruna Dubey during her welcome address deliberated upon the importance of All India Radio over the years and motivated students to work hard and explore their hidden talent.
During the workshop, Resource Persons Madhavi Sharma, Katmai Krishan Lidhoo and Ramesh Marhatha motivated the students to enhance their reading skills in order to become good communicators besides encouraging them to focus more on their regional languages.
Later, Dr. Hemla Aggarwal in her address appreciated the efforts taken by the department to organize such workshop that can help students train, explore their hidden talent and creative abilities therein helping them fetch jobs in Radio industry as Commentators, Anchors, Radio Jockey etc.
Certificates were also distributed among the participants.
