Mar 31: Unidentified gunmen shot at and critically wounded a Special
Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police in south Kashmir district of
Anantnag on Saturday, official sources said.
They said the gunmen fired at and wounded SPO from a very close range at K P
Road, Khannabal, in Anantnag.
The injured was immediately rushed to District Hospital, they said, adding that the area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
Recently, militants barged into the house of a SPO and shot him dead while his wife was critically injured. She was admitted to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS). UNI
