New Delhi, Mar 28: The Question Hour in Lok Sabha was again a washout on Wednesday as the House
had to be adjourned till 1200 hours over the continuous uproar caused by AIADMK
members over the Cauvery Water issue.
As soon as the House assembled for the day, the AIADMK
members trooped into the Well raising slogans and ventilating their demand for
immediate setting up of Cauvery Water Management Board.
The Speaker Sumitra Mahajan started with the listed questions and a question pertaining to the Ministry of Communications was named. But as the agitating AIADMK members raised slogans and created a ruckus, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till noon.
AIADMK raised slogans, "we want justice" and "we want Cauvery Board'.
Unlike other days when members from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which has been disrupting Lok Sabha proceedings demanding increase in Muslim reservation quota in the state, are not entering into the Well since Tuesday.
The TRS leaders have announced that they would "participate in the debate" and also speak against the government when the No-Confidence motion moved by Congress and other opposition parties will be taken up.
Both the Houses of Parliament have failed to transact any major business since the beginning of the second part of the Budget session of Parliament on March 5. UNI
