Ganga hails Director’s contribution towards promoting entrepreneurship culture in JK |
JAMMU, MAR 02: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development
Institute, today accorded an affectionate adieu to M I Parray, the Founder
Director of JKEDI, on his retirement.
Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander
Parkash Ganga, was present on the occasion.
Ganga hailed the services and efforts of Dr. Parray
towards creating an entrepreneurial culture and promoting the entrepreneurship
development in the state. He said Dr. Parray would be remembered for the
services he has rendered and his contribution towards institution shall prove
as a beacon light for others.
Commissioner/Secretary Labour and Employment Department,
Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, while speaking on the occasion, described Dr. Parray as
a good human being who made his mark by working hard towards economic progress
of the State.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Parray expressed
gratitude towards the support and cooperation he always received from the staff
in achieving the set goals.
The JKEDI staff also shared their experiences of
working under the leadership of Dr. M I Parray.
Pertinently, Dr Parray started his career in 1987
as an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Management and Public
Administration (IMPA). In 2003, he was appointed as Director, JKEDI which
started functioning from a small two-room office at IMPA Srinagar.
Heads
of various Institutes/Boards of the Industries and Commerce Department besides
staff of JKEDI was present on the occasion.
