given the responsibility to work as the AICC General Secretary in-charge
(Organisation & Training)...
In his first reaction after being appointed to the post, Mr
Gehlot said he would continue to work to strengthen the party.
'New responsibility to work as the AICC GS incharge (Organisation & Training)..... I feel truly honoured. I will perform my duty with commitment and will continue to work to strengthen the party. I am thankful to Congress President Rahul,' Mr Gehlot said in a tweet late on Friday night.
Mr Gehlot, who, as general secretary in-charge for Gujarat, played a significant role in the good show by the Congress in the Gujarat Assembly election, was on Friday appointed AICC General Secretary in-charge (Organisation & Training) in place of veteran Janardhan Dwivedi.
His appointment to the post is being seen as a reward for the good show by the party in the Gujarat elections, where it gave a tough fight to the BJP by restricting it to a tally of 99 in the 182 member state Assembly. UNI
