Pune, Mar 31: Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at some parts of west Rajasthan and heat wave conditions prevailed at one or two pockets over Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat state.
Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and of east Rajasthan and were appreciably above normal in some parts of Odisha, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh,
Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha and of Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Rajasthan and of Gujarat state and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka and of Kerala and in remaining parts of Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh and of Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan
West Bengal and Sikkim and were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and were below normal in some parts of Bihar
and of south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 43.2°C at Barmer (west Rajasthan).
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh and were below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and of Vidarbha. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan and were appreciably above normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Telangana and of Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of west Rajasthan and of Vidarbha and were above normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka and of Kerala and in remaining parts of east Rajasthan, Gujarat state and of TamilNadu. They were normal over the rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 14.2°C at Mandla (east Madhya Pradesh).
Squall with hail occurred over Agartala and Squall occurred over Silchar and hail occurred over Shillong during last 24 hours.
According to media report, hailstorm occurred on 30.03.2018 afternoon over Cooch Behar, Alipurduar districts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Hailstorm occurred on 31.03.2018 at Malda at 0245 hrs IST and 0445 hrs IST both are lasted for 30 seconds with diameter 1.0 cm each.

Thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail very likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Jharkhand. Severe heat wave conditions very likely to prevail over some parts of west Rajasthan and at one or two pockets of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail over many parts of west Rajasthan and in some parts of southwest Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch and Vidarbha and at one or two pockets over east Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hours.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Bihar and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
