New Delhi, Mar 25 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the government is taking steps to link agricultural farms including in rural and far-flung areas to the marketing avenues.
Stating this at his monthly radio broadcast Mann-Ki-Baat programme, Mr Modi said the government has made provisions of higher Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers in this year's budget.
On this occasion, he pointed out that - "Great people" like Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, Chaudhary Charan Singh and Chaudhary Devi Lal allo had spoken about the importance of agriculture and welfare of farmers.
He urged citizens including the media and electronic medium to start a movement wherein there is increase in general awareness among people on the importance of Yoga as a key preventive care to ensure healthy life.UNI
