SRINAGAR, MARCH 13: Joint Director Agriculture, Abdul Rahim Samoon today
flagged-off a group of 100 progressive agripreneurs from Kashmir division to
New Delhi to participate in Krishi Unnati Mela scheduled on March
16-18, 2018.
The tour is aimed to make farmers and agripreneurs
from valley acquaint with latest trends and technologies in the field of
agriculture and allied sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director said
this is a huge opportunity for touring farmers and agripreneurs to get
firsthand knowledge and experience of innovations and technologies trending the
present scenario of agriculture. He urged upon them to take full advantage of
the tour and try to explore the opportunities to get most of it in terms of
experience and expertise.
During the tour, the farmers will also visit
different stalls to be displayed by different states and would get the
opportunity to interact with their counterparts from other regions of the
country.
Regional Subject Matter Specialist, Muhammad Yaseen
Masoodi, Deputy Director Farmers Training Centre Sadaqat Ali, and other senior
Officers of the Department were also present on this occasion.
