Jammu, Mar 28: A fierce gun battle triggered between security forces and a group of terrorists in bordering Sunderbani belt of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A group of armed men were seen moving near CRPF and BSF camp in Rawari Tala-Sada area of Sunderbani on Wednesday morning," police sources here said.
They said that the area was cordoned and later gun battle broke out between terrorists and security forces.
"The area is cordoned and encounter is in progress," said a police official.
Meanwhile senior Congress leader and former MLC Ravinder Sharma said, "there were inputs for the past 3 to 4 days of infiltration from across the border and on Wednesday morning gun fight broke out."
"It is my hometown and the security forces are on job to neutralise the terrorists," he added.
The district administration Rajouri however, has ordered closure of all schools in Sunderbani tehsil of the district as preventive measure. UNI
