Agartala, Mar 3: The BJP on Saturday described the mandate in fiercely contested Tripura polls
as "satisfactory" and said the people of the northeastern state have
voted for "change".
"The trend is satisfactory and all indications are there
that BJP will be able to form a stable government," BJP leader Ram Madhav
told reporters here.
He attributed BJP's victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "hard work". "
'Modiji was monitoring the way the party workers were working hard in Tripura. Besides, he addressed four rallies," Mr Madhav said.
Mr Madhav also lauded the role of BJP chief Amit Shah and state unit chief Biplab Deb.
About the role of Sunil Deodhar also, he said the former RSS man also worked sincerely and all have contributed to the historic victory for the saffron party.
"The CPI-M has given up a spirited fight but the people of Tripura has accepted BJP's slogan 'Chalo Paltai (Come, Let us Change) and opted for change in the state," Mr Madhav said. UNI
