New Delhi, mar 27: Slamming the BJP for announcing the dates of the Karnataka elections even
before the formal announcement by the Election Commission of India, the
Congress on Tuesday said that the EC should take action against BJP president
Amit Shah and register FIR against BJP IT Head for leaking EC’s confidential
information.
In a tweet, AICC media incharge Randeep
Surjewala said, "BJP becomes the ‘Super Election Commission’ as they
announce poll dates for Karnataka even before the EC. Credibility of EC is on
test. Will EC now issue notice to BJP President, Amit Shah and register an FIR
against BJP IT Head for leaking EC’s confidential information?’’
Even before the EC announcement of the poll date for Karnataka, the BJP IT head Amit Malaviya tweeted that ‘’Karnataka will vote on 12 May 2018’’.
EC on Tuesday announced the dates for the Karnataka assembly elections with voting on May 12 and counting on May 15. UNI
