New Delhi, Mar 28: Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday expressed regret over the leak of CBSE question papers and
said that a 'new mechanism' will be put in force from Monday, ensuring 'leak proof' arrangement for the same.
"Ek nayi bebosta lagayenge (There will be a new leak
proof mechanism installed)," Mr Javadekar told reporters here.
He said apparently a gang is operating in a localised manner in Delhi and the police investigation has already reached an "advanced stage".
Besides, he said the government would also order an internal inquiry at the level of CBSE and the HRD Ministry, on the issue.
"I know the troubles faced by the students. I know how parents and students prepare for the exams and so when a question paper is leaked, it is very sad," he said.
'I want to assure students and the parents at this juncture that there will not be any leak of question papers in future," he said, adding that high security arrangements will be made from Monday.
Meanwhile, the CBSE has ordered re-examination of Class XII - Economic and Class X - Mathematics, after reports surfaced about question paper leakage, he said.
"The government has taken serious cognisance of the leak. There must be a gang. They must be doing all this deliberately with plans," Mr Javadekar said.
He said CBSE is a respected and reliable organisation and throughout the year, it conducts many examinations, including 1.40 crore students.
To a question, he said a special team of Delhi Police is already working on the same.
"I hope the gang will be apprehended and the culprits will be given due punishment under law," he added. UNI
