Jammu, Mar 21: Today a press conference was held at BJP headquarters Trikuta Nagar Jammu which was addressed by BJYM State President Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra regarding the much-trumpeted case at Kuh Nallah Ramnagar on 17-03-2018, where the BJYM activists of Ramnagar who were holding a peaceful protest against the Panthers party was manhandled by Harsh Dev Singh and his supporters, “we seek an impartial probe and going through the videos of the incidents with a view to finding out the ultimate truth. It was Mr. Singh and his associates who barged into the peaceful protest of BJYM and manhandled the BJYM activists in full public view. He abused the ancestors and deities of the protestors and called bad names to Capt. Mohan Singh, Mr Rameez Shiekh, and Mr Balram Singh. He has also hurt religious sentiments of Rameez sheikh. It was due to his assault that Balram Singh had suffered minor injuries was admitted to D. H. Hospital” Dr. Magotra added.
Dr. Magotra, while interacting with media person, said that from the last one year more than 10 inauguration plates which were constructed with government funds were broken by panthers party activists, the protest for the same was done by BJYM activists with the prominent citizens of the area when Harshdev with all his supporters attacked resulting in the injury of BJYM activists. After that Harshdev Singh leave the spot and do couple of political programmes in the area and when around 7:30 p.m. he got to know that an FIR has been registered against him, he went to hospital and clicked some pics there, the whole drama didn’t stop here and he started shouting on media and social media that I was attacked by BJYM activists. Dr. Magotra said that the way in the last few months, unnecessary road blockades, threatening public officers and using abusive language against them publicly and on telephones too, it looks as if the frustration of the defeat is yet new in his mind and he is not able to come from the shock that the common masses of Ramnagar have rejected him as their representative.
Dr. Magotra said a person who had been Cabinet Minister and three times legislator and has contributed on the political horizon of the State is behaving like a goon and immature person seems as if frustration of overwhelming defeat in the last Assembly Elections by a margin of over seventeen thousand votes has taken better of him. “I have a suggestion for Harshdev that don’t behave Immature, increase you reach to the common masses and uplift their demands as done in a democratic setup otherwise activities like these will decline your graph in public and soon people will not allow you in their areas as everyone now is educated and know the difference between an representative and goons. The way he indulges himself in self-styled inaugurations of Majalta-Satrari road, Bridge on Dhar road to Pathwar road, Bharnara-Jansal road, Gudhian-Sunetar road, Marta-Dheeran road and Basantgarh to Khaned road shows his immaturity and frustration of defeat that he forget that only an elected peoples representative have power to do inauguration.
I on behalf of BJYM appeal to CM to have a direct intervention in this matter as no one is above law and should be dealt as per law.
BJYM State General Secretary Vikas Choudhary, Vice-President Munish Khajuria and District President Akhil Prashar were also present in the press conference.
