New Delhi, Mar 27: Biju Janata Dal MP Tathagata Satpathy on Tuesday charged the Modi government
with running away from debate on the No Confidence Motion in the Lok Sabha and
alleged that the disruption was being staged in the Lok Sabha "at the
behest" of the Centre.
"It's so very obvious that the Modi Govt
does not want Lok Sabha to function! Disruptions at Govt's behest so
transparent," Mr Satpathy tweeted.
He also said the discussion on No Confidence Motion seems to "scare" the ruling dispensation "out of their wits".
"Discussion on No Confidence Motion seems to scare them out of their wits (if they got any). Why? B'coz of scams getting Exposed, maybe," he wrote.
The No-Confidence motion in the Lok Sabha can be accepted only if there is support of at least 50 members.
The Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has been unable to take up the No Confidence Motion as she is unable to do the headcount ,50 lawmakers who support the Motion due to ruckus in the House.
On Tuesday, only AIADMK and lone rebel AAP member Dharam Vira Gandhi were in the Well disrupting the proceedings.
In Lok Sabha, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar asserted that the government is ready to debate on all issues including the No Confidence Motion but maintained that the House should be in order to ensure the same. UNI
