Moga ,Mar 31: With an
objective to raise its capacity to 3000 TCD with 17 MW co-generation plant, a
special project to modernize and expand the oldest sugar mill in cooperative
sector at bhogpur here is underway at a total cost of Rs 109 crore.
This was stated here on Saturday by Manpreet Singh Badal finance
minister. "An additional amount of Rs 31.31 crore has been provided in the state budget 2018-2019 for this purpose and efforts will also be made to modernize and upgrading of the cooperative sugar mill at Batala ", Mr Badal added.
In order to provide transparency and bring in efficiency at the cutting edge , the finance minister added that all the 3,537 Primary agriculture cooperative societies will also be computerized at an outlay of Rs 45,50 cr approximately as provided in the budget. UNI
