Jammu, Mar 21: Under the “Rashtriya Swachhta Abhiyan” launched by Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’able
Prime Minister of India in the year 2014, the Swachhta Pakhwara is being observed from
16.03.2018 to 31.03.2018. Monitoring & Appraisal Directorate, CWC, Jammu and Chenab
Division, CWC, Jammu, organized Cleanliness drive on 21.03.2017 of the Muthi Pond in
Jammu.
All the staff members of both the offices of Central water Commission participated in the
drive. In addition to the officers & staff of CWC, Jammu, the manpower from Muncipal
Corporation Jammu and local residents also enthusiastically participated in this special
drive. The Director, M&A Directorate, CWC, Jammu encouraged the local residents to take
part in the drive. Later, Director Sh. Yoki Vijay addressed all the participants and local
residents about the cleanliness of the pond and surroundings. It was suggested that the
residents of the area may also be made aware and motivated to keep the Pond and the
surrounding area clean.
