Tejaswi demands resignation of Nitish Kumar after registration of FIR against Giriraj

Patna, Feb 8: A day after a case of forgery and criminal conspiracy was filed against Union Minister Giriraj Singh and 32 others in an old land transaction case, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav today demanded resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on moral ground.

Taking to his official Twitter account to target Chief Minister, Mr Yadav commented, “Nitish Kumar Ji, don’t be shameful, open your mouth. Awaken your conscience, remember your principle, don’t remain a dumb, don’t fear. Go to Raj Bhawan after writing your resignation letter. Your most dear one and most close friend and union minister Giriraj Singh has captured nearly three acres of land of Bihar`s Dalits, take action and don’t get scared”.
The FIR had been registered at Danapur police station against Mr Singh and 32 others following an order by the Patna district and sessions court. The case pertains to “plot transaction with help of forged land rent receipts.” All have also been booked under provisions of the SC/ST Act.
The complainant Ram Narayan Prasad, a resident of Aasdiha village under Danapur police station, had alleged that all the accused, including the union minister, had helped in “illegal sale” of his 60 decimal ancestral land on the basis of forged land rent receipts.
Carrying out his tirade against Chief Minister Mr Kumar, Mr Yadav asked, “Whether Nitish Ji would break the alliance now? Whether Chief Minister who had walked out from grand alliance on the call of his conscience would resign now? Where is your morality now? Whether you have any reply?”.
Targetting Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi in the same vein, Mr Yadav said, “Where is‘Khulasa Miya’ (whistle-blower) and rumour master Sushil Modi. Your favourite union minister Giriraj Singh has captured land of Dalits through his muscle power. In which hole, Sushil Modi beating fake drum of honesty has taken shelter? Why curd has frozen in his mouth? Whether you have also the share in this land?”.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, Mr Yadav said, “Modi Ji, whether your government boasts of such honesty, in which your cabinet minister is capturing land of the poor instead of giving them houses. Please inquire into the case in totality at your level. Who knows Mantri Mahodaya has started talking to send those poor people to Pakistan”. UNI
