Kathmandu, Feb 2: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal
on Friday held a meeting with the visiting Indian External Affairs Minister

It is learnt that the meeting took place at Hotel Soaltee
Crown Plaza, where Dahal arrived all alone. CPN (MC) Dahal's press coordinator Manhari Timilsina informed that the two leaders held the meeting for about 30 minutes.
The CPN (MC) chair, after the meeting said, that they did not divulge on any serious matters during the meet. "We talked about the situation after the elections and formation of the new government," said Dahal, talking to media persons, "Her (Swaraj) visit is more of a cordial one in my opinion."
During the meet, Ms Swaraj congratulated Dahal on the election victory while Dahal said that the upcoming government would work towards stability and development of the nation while mending ties with the southern neighbour.
The Indian minister, who arrived here on Thursday, held a one-to-one meeting for more than an hour with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli before delegation-level talks between top UML leaders and officials from India Thursday evening.
Indian Minister Swaraj also held talks with leaders of the Madhes-based parties.
The visiting Indian minister is scheduled to call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday, The Kathmandu Post reported. UNI
