Jan 18: The much-touted "Fake News Awards" were unveiled by
Donald Trump late Wednesday night, escalating his already persistent attacks on
a number of major US media outlets as per the media reports.
Washington’s Post quotes that the awards was announced hours
after a senator from Trump's party hurled a stinging rebuke, accusing the US
leader of undermining the free press with Stalinist language.Trump announced the ten "honours" using his preferred medium of Twitter.The "winners" of the spoof were CNN, The New York Times and The Washington Post, all of which have been regular targets of Trump's ire.
Number one spot was nabbed by Nobel-prize winning economist Paul Krugman of New York Times, who wrote writing "on the day of President Trump's historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover."He wrote that the new President has no experience on Economic Policy .
