New Delhi, Jan 11: Nana Patole, who quit the BJP recently after charging the BJP Government at the
Centre of turning a blind eye to the problem of farmers’ distress, has joined
the Congress, the AICC said on Thursday.
Nana Patole, a former MP from Bhandara-Gondiya constituency,
joined the Congress in the presence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the
AICC said.
He had resigned as MP of the Lok Sabha after charging Prime Minister Narendra Modi of turning a blind eye to the problem of farmers’ distress.
In a post on its twitter handle, the Congress said,’’Congress President Rahul Gandhi warmly welcomes Mr Nana Patole, Ex-MP from BJP, to the Congress family.’’
Nana Patole had resigned as BJP MP and charged the NDA government of not making any effort for improving conditions of the the youth, farmers, poor labourers, farm laborers, educated unemployed and women. UNI
