Agartala, Jan 12: As many as 4000 congress and CPI(M) workers including former
congress minister Bibha Nath have joined in the saffron
brigade today in Dharmanagar pledging to bring a change in the state.
Ms Nath officially joined in the party yesterday at BJP headquarters but today she was
welcomed in the party by the state president Biplab Kumar Deb. He has also welcomed the renowned Cardiologist of the sate Dr Tamajit Nath, former SP Gopal Sarkar and Lok Janasakti Party chief Papri Haldar along with 3400 of her followers.
A total of about 500 voters belong to 71 families of CPI(M) have joined in BJP in
Dharmanagar of North Tripura and more, CPI(M) supporters are joining the party very
shortly,” Mr Deb said.
Regarding party’s vision document for the 2018 Assembly elections, Deb said the
preparation is in the process and hopefully will get published it soon after the election
schedule will be announced. UNI
