PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 20: Minister
of State for Forest, Environment, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Cooperative and
Fisheries, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, today chaired a meeting of officers at Mini
Secretariat, Pulwama. The Minister took the review of Kahcharai Land
Compensation (KLC) related developmental works being executed at Lethpora and Chandhara.
The Minister was apprised about the latest status of various on-going
developmental works by District Developmental Commissioner, Ghulam Mohammad Dar
through a power point presentation.
Different delegations of the people who were present at the meeting
highlighted their grievances regarding Kahcharai Land Compensation (KLC)
related developmental works. The house was informed that the work on certain
developmental projects have been put on hold in lieu of court directions as a
few residents in the villages have taken the matter to the court.
The
Minister directed the concerned authorities to expedite the developmental works
in both the villages and redress the grievances of the people at an earliest.
Taking stock of the funds released under KLC, Mir Zahoor directed the concerned
to make judicious use of available funds.
The Minister also appealed the people to build a consensus among them
and set aside the differences if any so that developmental works are completed
without any further delay due to litigations and other bottlenecks.
Later on, Minister chaired a separate meeting to review the arrangements
for the upcoming festival, Eid Milad u Nabi.
The Minister stressed upon the officers of PDD & PHE for providing
uninterrupted electricity and drinking water supply to the people, besides
ensuring proper street lighting. He directed Municipal Authorities to ensure
proper sanitation and cleanliness at all the places particularly in and around
the mosques.
Among others, ADC, Joint Director Planning, ACR and other district
officers from various departments were present during the meeting.
